Vision

Approved in 2019 by Clergy-Laity Assembly clergy and lay delegates who were concerned about the long-term health and vitality of the Church, the Foundation exists to help ensure the Metropolis of Chicago fulfills its mission and enacts its vision.

To do this, the Foundation will support the Metropolis of Chicago through regular distributions to current and future Metropolis initiatives, including: clergy leadership and development; ministries and programs (e.g., Project HOPE); Metropolis affiliated organizations (e.g., St. Iakovos Retreat Center; Philoptochos); and capital projects (parish needs), among others. For more information about how clergy, laity, parishes, and ministries will be supported, please visit the Metropolis of Chicago’s Vision for Growth webpage.
